The Many Faces of Antonella Pradel

Had a Skype Bonanza today! An exciting quick chat with Mum and Dad marvelling at the wonders of modern technology (mostly Dad really). Then a first date with Amanda which was awesome. Finished with the first episode of Grey's Anatomy. It's really good! I'm turning into Emmett Skilton (oh no)!

Then went to Montmartre (where I stayed last time I was in Paris) to do my laundry.

I went out this far just cause I knew where a Laundromat was and I couldn't be bothered trying to find one in Montparnasse! Lazy. Sure. But also awesome going to Montmartre. There were cool markets on again. And there's a really cool feeling about the area. It's got a strong African presence, and a lot of heart.

Then I went out on the town with Lorenzo and Antonella - friends from NZ - and Maggie from the hostel. Our plans were to get some dinner and go and see The Social Network.

We ended up catching about 5 different metros to try and catch the movie/find the cinema and then finally after about an hour and a half went back to where we started and watched the movie only a few blocks away from the hostel! Ha! Anyway. It was a great night. We had lots of fun. And the movie was really good. Really good! I was surprised. Kind of an indie film about the makings of Facebook and how Mark Zuckermann screwed over some people. The actor who played Zuckermann was great. Kind of autistic. Spoke really really quickly with little emotion or facial expression. Quite spooky. Him not doing much let's us in I think. And the script/editing was strong too. I was quite gripped the whole time. And lots happens! And it jumps from law suit to law suit to past to present. Justin Timberlake was good too.

Getting Metro tickets
